Feeding Systems

Bellco Flex

One platform that feeds 99% of part geometries — at a fraction of what a premium flexible feeder costs. Parts spread across a backlit platform, the robot picks what it can see, and the platform re-shuffles what it cannot. One feeder, many parts, no tooling change.

  • 30-50% Lower cost
  • 6 PLATFORM SIZES
  • NO TOOLING CHANGEOVER
  • 1-Year Warranty

How It Works

Flexible Feeding, Vision Guided

Backlit Pick Platform

Parts land on a lit platform that silhouettes them for the camera. Contrast is the whole game in vision picking, and backlighting gives it to you without fighting ambient shop light.

Flex Feeders in stock – Send us your parts to test

We have many sizes in stock at our Ohio facility. We can test parts in as quick as one day to prove our validity

Bulk Refill Above the Platform

A stainless hopper feeds the platform on demand, so the cell keeps running between operator visits instead of stopping every time the platform empties.

ONE PLATFORM, MANY PARTS

Run a different part tomorrow without machining new tooling. A bowl feeder needs a new bowl and a new tooling set for every part; Flex runs a new part the same day. On a mixed-part cell, one Flex platform does the work of four dedicated feeders — which is where the cost math really turns.

The Complete Cell

Buy the Platform, Or Buy the Whole Cell Running.

Most flexible feeder suppliers sell you a platform and leave the vision, the robot, and the integration to somebody else. We'll do it either way.

Platform Only

Take the Flex platform and integrate it into your cell with your own vision and robot. It talks to whatever you're running.

Complete Integrated Cell

We supply the platform, the vision system, and the robot, program the vision, and teach the robot its pick and drop-off points. It arrives running your parts, not waiting on somebody else's integration schedule.

Any Robot, Any Vision

We've integrated Flex under FANUC and SCARA arms and work with Cognex, Keyence, Epson, and ABB vision and robot systems. FANUC is where we've done the most.

The Bellco Difference

Why Choose Bellco Flex

30–50% LOWER COST

A premium flexible feeder is one of the most expensive ways to feed a part. Ours isn't. Engineer-owned, lean, and built on a global manufacturing partnership we've developed since 2017 — which is how we come in 30–50% under the premium systems without giving up build quality or componentry.

WE SEND A TECHNICIAN

If your cell isn't running, we get on a call the same day to see exactly what's happening, then put one of our travel technicians on the road. Not a ticket queue. Not a service visit six weeks out.

WE'LL TELL YOU IF FLEX IS THE WRONG ANSWER

Flexible feeding isn't right for every application. Send us the part and the rate you need to hit, and if a bowl or step feeder would serve you better, we'll say so before you spend the money.

DESIGNED IN SOLIDWORKS

You see and approve a full 3D model of the cell — clearances, footprint, robot reach — before we machine a single piece of tooling.

1-YEAR WARRANTY

Full parts and labor coverage on both the parts we manufacture and the commercial components we specify. Direct access to the engineers who designed your cell — no ticket queues.

Common Questions

Bellco Flex FAQs

What is the lead time for a complete unit?

We have many units in stock at our Ohio Facility. We don’t always have every size. If we don’t have your desired size, it takes about 6-7 weeks to build from scratch.

When is a flexible feeder the right answer instead of a bowl?

When you are running many part variants through one cell, when the parts change often enough that tooling a bowl per part stops making sense, or when the part is delicate enough that you would rather it were not circulating in a vibrating bowl at all. If you run one part at high volume, a custom-tooled bowl is still faster and cheaper.

Does Bellco Flex need a vision system?

Yes — the platform presents parts, the camera finds them, and the robot picks them. If you already have vision in the cell, we build to it. If you do not, we can supply the camera, the control cabinet, the PLC and the wiring as one turnkey package, the same way we do on our vision-guided step feeders.

Which model should I be looking at?

Start with the part footprint and weight and work up: pick areas run from 134 × 108 mm on the Flex 100 to 504 × 330 mm on the Flex 500, with maximum loads from 0.5 kg to 2 kg. Send us the part and the cycle time and we will tell you which size fits and whether one platform is enough.

How fast can a Flex cell run?

That depends on your robot and your vision cycle far more than on the platform. We will scope the throughput honestly against your actual cell rather than quote a headline number that assumes a robot you do not have.

How long does it take to get a quote?

Three business days is our average. Send us the part — or a drawing of it — along with your target feed rate and how the parts need to be presented downstream, and an engineer will come back to you with a scoped quote rather than a ballpark.

How does Bellco Flex pricing compare to other flexible feeders?

Bellco systems are typically priced 20–40% below traditional suppliers. We manufacture directly — no brokers, no middlemen — which lets us compete on price without cutting engineering time, material quality, or testing. Every system still includes a full SolidWorks design review and a factory acceptance test.

Can I run more than one part on the same platform?

Yes — that’s the point of it. Different parts run on the same platform without machining new tooling, so changeover is a program change instead of a hardware change. It’s what makes Flex worth it on a cell that has to handle a family of parts.

Can you test my part before I buy?

Yes. We keep Flex units in house and run part tests constantly. Send us a few sample parts and we’ll run real-world tests and tell you honestly whether it feeds well enough to build a cell around.

Ready to Start?

Let's Scope Your Flex Cell.

Send us the parts you need to feed, the robot you are running, and the cycle time you have to hit. We will tell you which platform size fits — and whether Flex is genuinely the right tool for the job.
